The Circle Is Open: A Smaller, Kinder Way to Begin the Year

As the light thins and the garden settles into its quieter rhythm, we wanted to share something we have been tending for a while — a new way to gather around the work we make here.

We are opening The Circle.

Why a Circle?

Lunavariah has never been a warehouse kind of place. I create the formulas here, slowly and intentionally, and our makers produce them in small batches. We hold no upfront inventory — products are made after orders come in, in the quantities the season actually asks for.

That way of working is gentle on ingredients, on waste, and on the hands that make each batch. It also means every batch is limited. When a batch is ready, there is only so much to go around.

The Circle is how we honor that. Each year, we take on only 100 new members — people who want first access to those small batches, and a steadier, closer rhythm with the shop through the year ahead.

What membership means

Members get first access to every batch, before the public window opens, and 10% off all year. Membership runs from Samhain to Samhain — from this October 31 to the next — following the turning of the year rather than a calendar sale cycle.

The store stays open to everyone. That will not change. The public shops what remains after the members' window, just as you always have. The Circle simply gives its members the first quiet look, and a small thank-you in the form of that 10% throughout the year.

We built it with Christmas shopping in mind, too. Members will see batches first as the holiday season approaches, with time to choose thoughtfully instead of rushing at the last moment.

A small ritual of beginning

Samhain has always been a threshold — an ending and a beginning held in the same night. That felt like the right moment to draw the first Circle: not in noise or hurry, but at the year's turning, when we set intentions for the darker, slower months and for the light that follows.

If this way of shopping — small batches, made with intention, shared first with a small circle — sounds like your rhythm, we would love for you to enter.
