Welcome to Lunavariah. This page explains, in plain language, what information we collect when you visit or shop at lunavariah.com, how we use it, who helps us handle it, and the choices and rights you have. We keep this simple because we would want the same courtesy ourselves.

Lunavariah is a small, independent shop. Athena creates every formula; our products are made in small batches. We collect only what we need to run the shop well and to care for your order — nothing more.

Information we collect

When you place an order or create an account, our store platform collects your name, billing and shipping addresses, email address, phone number (if you give one), and the details of what you ordered. Payment is processed by Shopify and its payment partners. We never see or store your full payment card details.

When you contact us — by email, through a store form, or through a message about an order — we receive what you send us, so we can answer you and help with your order.

When you leave a review, our review service, Judge.me, collects your name, email address, and the review text and any photos you choose to share.

When you browse the store, Shopify sets the standard cookies a store needs to work — to keep your cart, process checkout, remember your preferences, and keep the site secure. See the Cookies section below.

One optional feature. Some products offer a Virtual Try-On. It runs entirely on your own device and sends us no information — see the Virtual Try-On section below for how it works.

How we use your information

We use your information to:

• Fulfil your order — make, pack, ship, and deliver what you bought
• Communicate with you about your order, including shipping and delivery updates
• Send marketing messages by email and by text message, where you have signed up for them. Our text messages are sent through Shopify Messaging. You can opt out at any time — use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, or reply STOP to a marketing text
• Answer your questions and provide customer care
• Receive and display product reviews you choose to leave
• Run and protect the store, including preventing fraud
• Meet our legal, tax, and accounting obligations

We do not use your information for anything unrelated to running this shop and caring for your order.

Who helps us, and what we share with them

We share information only with the services that help us run Lunavariah, and only what each one needs to do its job.

Shopify. Our store runs on Shopify. Shopify processes our checkout, payments, customer accounts, and order communications, and handles your information under its own privacy policy. Our email and text messages are sent through Shopify Messaging — it is the only service we use to send them.

Our production and fulfillment partners. Because Lunavariah products are made in small batches, the name and shipping address on your order are shared with the production and fulfillment partners who make and ship that order. They receive only what they need to complete it.

Judge.me. If you leave a review, Judge.me collects and displays it as described above, under its own privacy practices.

Shopney. Lunavariah is also available through the Shopney mobile shopping app. If you shop through the app, your account and order information are handled inside the app as well, under Shopney's own privacy practices.

Instagram feed (Instafeed). Our storefront shows our Instagram feed through a service called Instafeed. When that feed loads, Instagram (Meta) content loads in your browser, and Meta may collect information under its own privacy policy.

SkinAI. We also have a skin-quiz app, SkinAI, installed on our store. It isn't currently offered on the storefront, and it does not receive your personal information from us.

We are required to share information if the law asks us to — for example, in response to a valid legal request, or to meet tax and legal obligations. Apart from the services above and legal requirements, we do not hand your information to anyone.

Virtual Try-On (Banuba)

Some Lunavariah products offer a virtual try-on, provided by Banuba. It is entirely your choice whether to use it.

The try-on runs entirely on your own device, in real time. Your camera image never leaves your device — it is not sent to, collected, or stored by Banuba, and it is not sent to us either. We receive no photos and no face data from the try-on, and nothing from it is used for advertising.

Banuba may process limited technical information about how the try-on itself performs — device and performance information, never images — under Banuba's own privacy policy.

If you would rather not use the try-on, you can simply shop as usual — every product page works fully without it.

Cookies

Our store is built on Shopify, and Shopify uses cookies — small files stored in your browser — to run the store. These include cookies that are necessary for the site to work (keeping items in your cart, completing checkout, keeping your account signed in, and security), and cookies that remember your preferences.

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. If you turn off necessary cookies, parts of the store — especially checkout — may not work properly.

We do not run advertising or analytics tracking pixels in our store. There is no Meta, Google, or TikTok advertising tracking on lunavariah.com.

We do not sell your personal information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising — that is, we do not hand your information to advertisers so they can follow you around the internet.

Some privacy laws give residents of certain states a formal right to opt out of data sales or targeted-advertising sharing. Because we do not do either, there is nothing to opt out of here — but we still provide Shopify's opt-out page for completeness: see our Your Privacy Choices page, linked in our store footer.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Know what personal information we hold about you, and receive a copy of it
• Ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete
• Ask us to delete your personal information
• Ask us to limit or stop certain uses of your information
• Withdraw a consent you previously gave, such as unsubscribing from marketing messages

To make any of these requests, email us at lunavariah@gmail.com. We will respond and honor your request as required by the law that applies to you. We may need to confirm your identity before completing a request, and in a few cases the law requires us to keep certain records (for example, order records for tax purposes) even after a deletion request — if that applies, we will tell you plainly.

You can unsubscribe from marketing email at any time using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email we send, and you can stop marketing texts at any time by replying STOP to one.

How long we keep information

We keep personal information only as long as we need it — to fulfil orders, provide customer care, and meet our legal, tax, and accounting obligations. When information is no longer needed for those purposes, we delete it or remove the parts that identify you, in line with Shopify's standard practices and our legal obligations.

Children

Our store is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, please contact us at lunavariah@gmail.com and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and change the "Last updated" date at the top. Significant changes will be posted here before they take effect, so you can always read the current version at lunavariah.com/policies/privacy-policy.
