What a Member Receives: A Year Inside the Circle

Some memberships arrive as a card in the mail, or a code in an inbox, and that is the whole of it. The Circle was made differently. It is a place held for you at a small table — a standing invitation to come a little closer to how Lunavariah is made, and to be welcomed there first, all year long.

So what does a member actually receive?

First access to every batch. Athena creates every Lunavariah formula herself, and her makers produce them in small batches — she holds no upfront inventory, and nothing is made in warehouse quantities. When a batch is ready, Circle members shop it first, inside their own window, before it opens to everyone else. Only after that window does the public shop what remains. The store stays open to everyone, always; membership simply changes the order, so the people in the Circle are never arriving to find a small batch already gone.

Ten percent off, all year. Members receive 10% off throughout their membership — not for a weekend, not on a short list of chosen items, but across the year the Circle holds together. It is a quiet, steady thank-you built into every order, the way a neighbour is simply charged a little less at a familiar counter.

A year that runs Samhain to Samhain. Membership begins at the year's turning and runs a full circle of seasons: the deep-winter batches, the first lightening of spring, summer's lighter rituals, and back round to autumn again. That rhythm matters here, because Lunavariah follows the quiet rhythm of the natural world — products are reached for differently as the light and the air change, and a member is inside every one of those turns, first in line each time.

It matters most, perhaps, as Christmas approaches. The Circle was built for Christmas shopping: gift batches are still small batches, made with the same care in the same limited quantities. Members step into that first window while there is still time to choose slowly and well — a balm for a sister, a butter for a friend, something botanical and intentional, wrapped into the season before the rush begins.

That is why the Circle takes only 100 new members each year. The promise has to fit the making: first access is only real if a small batch can truly serve its members first, and 10% off all year is only honest if it is offered to a circle the work can hold. One hundred keeps both promises true.
